How a transaction travels through the Baran platform
Four hops from the channel to the institution that answers, and the same four on the way back.

A POS machine, mobile app or ATM sends the transaction to the Baran Adapter API. Every channel uses this one integration point.
The Adapter API hands the transaction to the Baran Payment Engine, which processes it according to its type.
When the transaction involves another institution, Baran Switch sends it to APS, the national switch, as an ISO 8583 message.
APS routes it to the bank, EMI or PI that has to answer. The response returns along the same path to the channel that started it.
